Starters

~Paté Maison ’Forestiere’ – a smooth liver and wild mushroom paté, served with chutney and salad

~‘Jambon de Bayonne’ Ham and Fresh Melon - with mixed salad

~Cheese Soufflé with Conté and Goats Cheese (v) - served with a leafy salad

~Our Own-Cured Goats Cheese (v) - with warm walnut bread and date chutney

~Salade Bohémienne – smoked bacon and chicken geziers sautéed with French beans, potatoes and mixed herbs

~Prawns grilled with Ginger and Spring Onion

~Smoked Duck Breast, Shaved Fennel and Spring Onion Salad

~Salade Landaise – with foie gras, smoked duck breast and duck confit on mixed leafy salad

~Gorgonzola, Pear, Roquette and Walnut Salad (v)

~Smoked Salmon and Warm Blinis – with lemon, chives, cucumber salad and crème fraiche

 

 

Main Courses

~Lamb Daube – Provençal speciality - lamb shank braised with red wine, citrus, and green olives, with garlic mash

 ~Roast Breast of Guinea Fowl with Wild Mushroom Sauce – with red cabbage braised in port

~Filet of Gilt Bream - with roasted fennel and courgettes, pine nuts, basil and olive oil sauce

~Seafood Risotto – with mussels, prawns, scallops, fish and squid with green herb risotto

~Roast Filet of Cod – with a spinach gratin, and two sauces: spicy tomato and basil beurre blanc

~Fillet of Pork with Prune and Armagnac Sauce – served with apple and rhubarb crumble

~Tender Veal Osso Buco ours is braised for 4 hours, the sauce seasoned w gremolata, on wild mushroom risotto

~ Loin of Wild Scotch Venison with black pepper sauce – served with parsnip purée and parsnip crisps

~Steak-Frites a la Provencale – grilled rib-eye, with olive butter and roasted shallots, served with frites

~Wild Mushroom and White Truffle Risotto (v) – with ceps, fresh pleurotte and white truffle essence

 

 

Desserts

~Apple Tarte Tatin - served with our Vanilla Ice Cream

~Rhubarbe Millefeuille flaky pastry, oven roasted rhubarb and vanilla cream

~Warm Chocolate Fondant – w Griottines Cherries in Eau de Vie &Vanilla Ice Cream

~Clementines in Caramel with Cointreau served over Vanilla Ice Cream

~Fresh Fruit Salad and a Selection of our Sorbets with langue de chat biscuits

~ Warm Blueberry Tarte – with lavender ice cream
